Russ with The Jesus Show…

A big part of the vision for The Jesus Show and also for Schlyce Jimenez Minsitries is train up and mentor leaders.  Over the years, the Lord has given me the opportunity to mentor some wonderful, anointed people and its been no different since moving to Colorado Springs.

One person that God has connected me with here in the Springs is an awesome brother in the Lord named Russel Divine.  He’s got an awesome spirit, is anointed to teach, and hears clearly from the Lord.  Both he and his wife have been such a blessing to the ministry.  It’s really been a privilege to get to know them.

Anyway, from time to time as I feel led,  I’ll be having Russel and others minister at Jesus Show functions.  I’ve also asked them to write teaching articles and share blog entries on occasion.  Russel  has already written a couple of great teaching articles for The Jesus Show website and today he sent me the following to post for the blog.  It’s a quick note that he jotted down the other day while flying across the Rockies (he’s a pilot for SkyWest airlines).

Anyway, it blessed me and I’m trusting it will do the same for you…

“I’ve been flying west out of Denver quite a bit lately.  Looking down over the Rockey Mtns. I noticed that the interior of the state is slightly ahead of the front range in terms of season change.  I watched as the Aspens turned brilliant and then dropped their leaves. Today as I head west it’s apparent that winter has reached the interior.  The Rockies are covered with snow.  As I enjoyed the view, the Spirit began to make some parallels with what I was seeing in the natural and what God is doing in His kingdom.  Winter is a time of increased darkness and uncomfortable cold.  But, as I viewed the snow covered mountains from the comfort of the warm flight deck high above the cold ground, I was struck by the beauty of the season.  In this time of increased darkness and cold we, the body of Christ, are intended to be well above the troubles of the season.  We can and are supposed to experiance warmth while the world shivers in discomfort.  We, the body of Christ, are the pure beautiful snow that reflects the light of the Son to a world that has tilted away from it’s source of life.  Now is a time of glory for the body, now is the time to rise above the world.  When we do we will be noticed and the cold frost bitten hands of the world will reach up in desperation to experience the warmth.  We must now rise above the world into the light of the Son so that we can reflect His Glory.  Without  the proper altitude or perspective, we will not be able to be witnesses in this time of the final harvest of souls.  Those in the world don’t want an argument or a philosophy no matter how well thought out or convincingly delivered.  They want to experience the victory that is only available to the covenant children of the King.  We must show them the way before we tell them the way.  Now is the time to be supernaturally set apart.” -  Russel Divine for The Jesus Show

God Bless!

    Schlyce,

Russel Divine — GREAT ANALOGY — that was definitely by the Spirit and I might add “divinely” written and well said. Russel gave the key to this awesome opportunity for the people of God and that is “the proper altitude or perspective.” If we don’t see ourselves seated high in heavenly places and know that this is definitely our season, then we may lose this window of opportunity to give the world exactly what they have been missing and waiting for. Supernaturally set apart is what the whole creation has been waiting for — I believe even we THE CHURCH.

    Thanks Russel.

  4. Tremendous reflection Russel! Thanks for sharing.
