The Jesus Show Rocked!

Posted in Healing, Prayer, The Jesus Show with tags , , , , , on January 25, 2009 by schlyce

Last night might have been one of the best times I’ve ever had.  It’s hard to explain how exciting the presence of God and the anointing can be without experiencing it for yourself.  But every time I’m in an atmosphere like the one that was at the Jesus Show last night, I am so floored.  Nothing in the world compares to it.

People thought the disciples in the book of Acts were drunk after the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost and last night I can honestly say I felt the same way.  After the service, I was wondering if I was going to be able to drive home.

The Holy Spirit is so awesome!  The manifestations of His power were amazing.   People that limped or were on crutches coming in were running by the time the night was over.  I know it sounds unbelievable to some, but it’s not.  It’s normal Christianity if you actually read the bible.

Anyway, I’m so excited about what the Lord has planned in the coming months for The Jesus Show.  I truly believe that we are tapping into something that will forever change not only me but the people that are being drawn there.

Stay tuned.  Things are heating up…

We’ll be meeting at the Lon Chaney Theatre at 7:00 p.m. this week.   We had an extremely successful healing boot camp earlier in the month and many of the students will be bringing their loved ones and friends that are need of healing.  We’ve been seeing some dramatic healings lately, so I’m really excited to see what the Lord has planned for us!

Hope to see you there!

The Wonder of Worship and A Dream…

                This is Our God

I’ve spent the morning in worship today watching Hillsong’s latest DVD “This is Our God,” and all I can say is finally!  Finally, the church is rising to a level that resembles shining.  Worship should be better than a U2, Coldplay or Madonna concert.  It should transport us to a place that the world can’t.

You have to remember that in my previous life, I was quite a connoisseur of the world’s best.  I’ve seen the world’s best concerts, done way too many designer drugs, and partied around the globe in some of the world’s greatest clubs.  Now I’m not saying the the church should try to imitate this culture, but I am saying that it should offer something better.  God’s glory is unsurpassable.  It’s unmatchable.  And His presence is truly heaven on earth.  So why should the world put on the best shows on earth when Jesus reigns over all?

I guess I’m tapping into something here that I know one day will be a part of The Jesus Show – actually bringing the atmosphere of heaven to earth through a blissful combination of music and miracles.  It’s never been done, but I envision a day when the music will be better than anything the world can offer and the presence of God in the atmosphere will be so heavy that no one will be able to stand and it will literally destroy every work of the devil – birth defects, missing limbs, brain damage… Anything and everything that is not a part of heaven will be burned up in the fiery presence of the Almighty.

So join me in dreaming… Go out and get Hillsong’s DVD “This is Our God,” and envision with me the day when The Jesus Show will travel around the world and fill the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea!

Russ with The Jesus Show…

Posted in The Jesus Show with tags , , , , , , , , on November 17, 2008 by schlyce

A big part of the vision for The Jesus Show and also for Schlyce Jimenez Minsitries is train up and mentor leaders.  Over the years, the Lord has given me the opportunity to mentor some wonderful, anointed people and its been no different since moving to Colorado Springs.

One person that God has connected me with here in the Springs is an awesome brother in the Lord named Russel Divine.  He’s got an awesome spirit, is anointed to teach, and hears clearly from the Lord.  Both he and his wife have been such a blessing to the ministry.  It’s really been a privilege to get to know them.

Anyway, from time to time as I feel led,  I’ll be having Russel and others minister at Jesus Show functions.  I’ve also asked them to write teaching articles and share blog entries on occasion.  Russel  has already written a couple of great teaching articles for The Jesus Show website and today he sent me the following to post for the blog.  It’s a quick note that he jotted down the other day while flying across the Rockies (he’s a pilot for SkyWest airlines).

Anyway, it blessed me and I’m trusting it will do the same for you…

“I’ve been flying west out of Denver quite a bit lately.  Looking down over the Rockey Mtns. I noticed that the interior of the state is slightly ahead of the front range in terms of season change.  I watched as the Aspens turned brilliant and then dropped their leaves. Today as I head west it’s apparent that winter has reached the interior.  The Rockies are covered with snow.  As I enjoyed the view, the Spirit began to make some parallels with what I was seeing in the natural and what God is doing in His kingdom.  Winter is a time of increased darkness and uncomfortable cold.  But, as I viewed the snow covered mountains from the comfort of the warm flight deck high above the cold ground, I was struck by the beauty of the season.  In this time of increased darkness and cold we, the body of Christ, are intended to be well above the troubles of the season.  We can and are supposed to experiance warmth while the world shivers in discomfort.  We, the body of Christ, are the pure beautiful snow that reflects the light of the Son to a world that has tilted away from it’s source of life.  Now is a time of glory for the body, now is the time to rise above the world.  When we do we will be noticed and the cold frost bitten hands of the world will reach up in desperation to experience the warmth.  We must now rise above the world into the light of the Son so that we can reflect His Glory.  Without  the proper altitude or perspective, we will not be able to be witnesses in this time of the final harvest of souls.  Those in the world don’t want an argument or a philosophy no matter how well thought out or convincingly delivered.  They want to experience the victory that is only available to the covenant children of the King.  We must show them the way before we tell them the way.  Now is the time to be supernaturally set apart.” -  Russel Divine for The Jesus Show

God Bless!

The Jesus Show on Halloween?

               pumpkin

As Sarah Palin would say… YOU BETCHA!!!

I just love this pumpkin!!!  Man I wish I could carve….  Isn’t it just the perfect picture of Romans 6:9 (Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him)?

To me, Halloween is the perfect time to celebrate Jesus’ victory over death.  I mean why celebrate death when you can worship the one that defeated death?  So enough of the ghouly ghouls.  Get me some of these pumpkins to put on my porch!

See ya at the Jesus Show this Friday and don’t forget to put on your new man costume!!! LOL…

Blessings,

The Jesus Show Hits the Streets!

Posted in The Jesus Show with tags , , , , , , on October 11, 2008 by schlyce

Last night, the Jesus show hit the streets for a night of evangelism and it was awesome!

Free Prayer

As you can see, we set up a couple of “FREE PRAYER” signs and made a make-shift prayer station outside of a Starbucks downtown.  We starting praying for people as they passed by without them even knowing it, and pretty soon, people started coming up to us and asking for prayer.  It was really amazing to see how God orchestrated the whole thing.  We were able to pray for some wonderful people with very real needs.

Here’s Travis for example, he just got out of prison and was asking for prayer to continue walking with the Lord.  He does not want to go back to jail and he’s looking for a new life.

CIMG1130

Kevin was another precious man that we prayed with that has been living on the streets for two weeks after losing his job and getting kicked out of his home.   We had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time ministering and praying with him.  And then of course, we can’t forget Joe who stopped by for prayer right after he was assaulted by two men.  As you can see, we were able to call the police for him and get him the help he needed in addition to praying for him.

Of course there were a couple of party goers out headed to the bars that might not have been so excited to see us.  We did receive a couple of sarcastic remarks.  But that didn’t stop us for praying for them anyway.  In fact, we believe that praying for those people was as important as praying for the ones that actually asked for prayer.

Overall, it was just an awesome time of fellowship and ministry.  Everyone left energized, blessed and thankful for the opportunity to be used by the Lord.  The word says that “those that water, shall themselves be watered,” and all we can say is AMEN!  We felt refreshed and alive when we left last night to go home.

We’ll be planning more outreach activities in the coming months, so if you’re in the area, we’d love to have you join us!  We promise you’ll be blessed!

The Jesus Show – A Friday Night Party!?!

party_time_top

I remember a time in my life when the idea of going to church on a Friday night would have been ridiculous.  For those of you that knew me “pre-Jesus,”  you know that’s true.  Never in a million years would I have thought that you could actually have fun.  But guess what?  I’m having the time of my life at the Jesus Show every week.  Nothing, and I mean nothing tops the presence of God.  I heard a guy say one time “there’s no high like the Most High,” and I have to admit there really isn’t.  And trust me when I say that I would know if there was. But honestly, I can truly testify that that Ephesians 5:18 isn’t just an irrelevant suggestion, it’s fact!  Being filled with the Holy Spirit is way better than wine!

Prayer & Worship with Dutch Sheets This Week!

Dutch Sheets For those of you in Colorado Springs, you may have heard about how Dutch Sheet’s church has been hosting 24/7 prayer and worship for the last several months.  Well, this week is the final week of their 90 day initiative.  So on Thursday through Saturday of this week, they are renting out the Phil Long Expo Center for three days of city wide prayer and worship.  I’m organizing a group of us from The Jesus Show to go over on Thursday sometime, so if you’re interested in going with us, stayed tuned for more information.  It’s sure to be an anointed time.  I have gone over to the church a couple of times and it was really awesome.  I truly believe that this is just one more indication that the Lord is planning to do something big here in Colorado Springs!

Blessings,
