The Jesus Show on Halloween?
As Sarah Palin would say… YOU BETCHA!!!
I just love this pumpkin!!! Man I wish I could carve…. Isn’t it just the perfect picture of Romans 6:9 (Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him)?
To me, Halloween is the perfect time to celebrate Jesus’ victory over death. I mean why celebrate death when you can worship the one that defeated death? So enough of the ghouly ghouls. Get me some of these pumpkins to put on my porch!

Wow! What an awesome job of carving that pumpkin! I admire the artistic skill involved here, and also the fact that the person who carved this pumpkin has a heart that loves Jesus!
For the past ten or twelve years, our family “opted out” of halloween by doing something together that we all enjoyed. It gave us a night for fun and togetherness. Recently, my 26-year old son recommended that we re-engage with the culture and start making an impact FOR Jesus on halloween!
I thought this was a wise idea; especially since my youngest child is days away from turning 17, and no longer likely to be negatively impacted by our involvement! Last year we passed out treats, smiles, and tracts to the kids who came to our door.
Tonite our family is visiting with relatives by attending a halloween party together. Our agenda is different from theirs, but the only way they’ll find it out is by the love and compassion that we share when they respond to the Jesus in us! It’s all about living for Jesus and following the guidance that the Holy Spirit gives us. Praise the Name of Jesus.
